In May of 2021, I graduated from UCF with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Art - Emerging Media: Character Animation. The Character Animation program simulated a real-world studio environment where I worked with a team of 13 students, A graduate student Director, and a Faculty Director to produce a short Student Film called “Symfaunic.” I learned the entirety of the animation pipeline from pre-production to post and focused mainly on pre-production and production as an Asset manager, Story Artist, 3D modeler, Character and prop rigger, and lighting artist. My love for technical art was born here!
During and after my undergrad experience, I worked in Military Simulation as a 3D modeling intern, before landing a job as a graphic designer at a small company in my hometown. It was after working there for almost a year when I realized I needed to get back to what I loved and headed off to graduate school to learn more about technical art and gain the necessary experience to become a seasoned technical artist.
I graduated from FIEA (Florida Interactive Entertainment Academy) with my Master of Science in Interactive Entertainment and completed an internship as a Figure Animation Programming Intern at Universal Creative in Orlando, FL (December 2023). During this internship, I worked directly with the Figure (animatronic) Animators, developing tools in maya to automate processes and streamline tasks, writing and recording technical documentation, and learning the Figure Animation pipeline. After graduation I joined the Interactive team at Falcon's Creative Group as a Technical Artist. During my time at Falcon's I worked on the Dragon Ball Z theme park as well as some equally awesome unannounced projects! I mainly focused on material creation and optimization, cinematics, and tool/plugin development for artists in Unreal Engine 5.
I am currently back at Universal Creative as an Artist/Animator contractor working with the ATI robotics team.
